Kochi, India – March 2008: Assyst bags a contract from Jayalakshmi Silks to develop an application that would help this large textile retailer to streamline their storefront and back office operations. After a detailed study of the client’s business processes, existing system and requirements from the new system, Assyst recommended implementing a web based application that would improve performance and be highly scalable.
Assyst will re-engineer the existing application using the .Net platform and incorporate additional features. The new system will cover Purchase, Inventory, Sales, Finance and Managerial Information System (MIS) Reports. It will support multi location retail and allow interfacing with devices like barcode printers and scanners. It will be e-VAT compliant, and will automatically generate various statutory forms. It will allow multiple payment modes such as cash, credit and debit cards, gift vouchers etc. Reports from the new application will serve as input for the CRM application.
Jayalakshmi is one of the largest textile showrooms in the State of Kerala, and caters to a large clientele. Their showroom is an impressive landmark on M.G. Road, the commercial nerve center of Kochi.
