Kochi, India - December 2007:Assyst wins the contract to provide onsite support for Rubber Board Computerization Phase II. Assyst has for the last three years been carrying out consultancy, development and support activities for the ERP project being implemented at the Board’s Head Office at Kottayam. The main modules that the system features are Finance and Accounts, HR and Career Progression, Payroll, and Marketing and Statistics. The application also supports Planning and Production at the Board’s crumb rubber factory.
The application manages information about Rubber Growers / Plantations, Dealers, Exporters etc. in the country. The application will be used to issue / monitor licenses and renewals. It is used to manage / track the cess collection from the dealers and processors. Planter’s subsidies and loans are also handled by the system. It also has features to monitor the inter-state transportation of rubber.
The Rubber Research Institute of India, which though an integral part of the Rubber Board, functions as an independent unit, is also benefited by this application by way of the training monitoring and project monitoring modules developed for their purpose.
