Kochi, India - Dec. 2008:
Assyst wins major ERP implementation contract from Kannan Devan Hills Plantation (KDHP) Company Private Limited. Formerly known as Tata Tea, KDHP is the single largest tea plantation in South India with 7 estates and 16 factories and more than 12,000 employees on the rolls. Based in Munnar, Kerala, the company also has a presence in horticulture, floriculture, and the cultivation of medicinal and aromatic plants.

KDHP’s existing application was developed on different platforms using different technologies (Oracle, Fox, VBA, Access etc). The growth that has taken place within the company and the rapid evolution that has taken place in technology since then have made the existing system largely obsolete.

KDHP has contracted
Assyst to develop a custom-built Web-based system with a centralized database that allows role-based access at any time and from any where. The application will integrate operations across the organization, and will provide a platform where information can be shared.

The proposed system will be highly scalable, will provide greater visibility into day-to-day operations across the organization at various levels. It will provide a 360° view of the organization at any given point of time and will be capable of generating a variety of current and historical reports, enabling the management to take well-informed decisions. It will provide greater transparency, and will substantially improve operational efficiency, reduce cash-to-cash cycle times and enhance profitability.
