Kochi, India - June 2009: The Naval Aircraft Yard (NAY), Kochi is a premier organization under the Indian Navy, engaged in carrying out third and fourth line servicing of aircraft of western origin. The Yard undertakes major structural repairs, overhauling engines and rotors. NAY is also engaged in the manufacture / repair of ground equipment. The Yard Management System (YMS) is being developed to achieve quick turn around of aircraft / engines / components and ensure efficient utilization of inventory. The application is being developed using the Oracle 9i / Developer 2000 platform, and will have four modules: Administration, Stores, Production and Planning.
